July is UV Safety Month
With summer in full swing, it’s the perfect time to brush up on sun safety! Here are a few simple tips to protect yourself and your loved ones from harmful UV rays:
- Use broad-spectrum sunscreen, with SPF 30 or higher, and reapply every 2 hours
- Wear UV-protective clothing, especially during peak sun hours
- Don’t forget a wide-brimmed hat and UV-blocking sunglasses
- Stay in the shade between 10AM – 4PM when UV levels are highest
- Check the UV index daily to plan your outdoor time wisely.
